Freezing represents the main method of processing fish for human consumption; it accounted for 56 percent of total processed fish for human consumption and 27 percent of total fish production in 2016.

Fresh Fish

Many species of fish are consumed as food in virtually all regions around the world. Fish has been an important source of protein and other nutrients for humans throughout history.Abadan is the southern city of Iran. This city is one of the most watered cities in the province of Khuzestan. This city has two strong rivers and it is near the Persian Gulf, most of its fame over marketing in Iran is, as known as, the main fishing pole.Iranian fisheries include the Cas-pian Sea, the Southern Seas (the Persian Gulf, the Oman Sea and the Indian Ocean), inland wa-ter fisheries and aquaculture. The most important fish species in the Caspian Sea are kutum, grey mullets, Sturgeon and kil-ka. Does not ensure that the seafood has not been frozen. Fresh never frozen.Fresh fish rapidly deteriorates unless some way can be found to preserve it. Drying is a method of food preservation that works by removing water from the food, which inhibits the growth of microorganisms. Open air drying using sun and wind has been practiced since ancient times to preserve food.

Dried Fish

Fresh fish rapidly deteriorates unless some way can be found to preserve it. Drying is a method of food preservation that works by removing water from the food, which inhibits the growth of microorganisms. Open air drying using sun and wind has been practiced since ancient times to preserve food.Water is usually removed by evaporation (air drying, sun drying, smoking or wind drying) but, in the case of freeze-drying, food is first frozen and then the water is removed by sublimation. Bacteria, yeasts and molds need the water in the food to grow, and drying effectively prevents them from surviving in the food.

TPSCo is able to supply kind of Dried Fish to name of Metuta that find in south of Iran .
Metuta dried fish is a small fish that lives near the shore and in the shallow parts of the sea, this fish has many fans due to its high nutritional value. With the beginning of spring, meth fishing begins in Hormozgan, where the cities of Parsian, Bandar Lengeh, Qeshm and Jask are the main fishing areas for this small fish.
Metuta dried fish can be stored for several months without the use of cooling system .After catching, the meth fish is brought to the shore for drying, which is mainly dried in two ways: by land or by air. This small fish must be exposed to direct sunlight to dry for ten days.
The reasons for the survival of this fish are the following:
The salt added to it during processing makes it more resistant to spoilage bacteria.
Fresh fish is very important, because rotten fish spoils the healthy fish next to it. For this reason, the process of drying and transporting fish must be done quickly. To prevent the fish from rotting.
Metuta dried fish has many uses that can be mentioned as follows:

This fish is used in the preparation of many foods such as edible sauce, Mahyaveh, yes fish, sorrel and…

Animal uses:
This fish is used as a livestock and poultry feed, aquatic feed, after processing due to its high nutritional value and protein.

Fish Oil

Fish oil plays an important role in the health of livestock, poultry and aquatic feed due to its unsaturated fatty acids and omega-3. So that it increases growth, disease resistance, preserves and improves the taste of edible fish.
Mycophyte fish or lantern fish is one of the fish that has a light-smelling oil and is widely used in aquaculture.

Other uses for industrial fish oil include:

Medication
Production of cosmetics (such as soap and…)
Painting industry
Fertilizer
animal’s food

Powder Fish

Fish powder (Fish meal) is a processed solid product obtained by dehydrating , cooking, separating, drying and grinding whole fish or fish waste. This product is used with different percentages in the production of livestock and poultry feed and aquatic feed. In the world, this product is known as fish meal, which is exchanged with this title almost all over the world.
This product can be prepared from any type of seafood such as fish and shrimp, but generally small sea fish that have high bones and oil are used in its preparation. These fish include sardines and meth fish.
This product has a high amount of energy per unit weight and is an excellent source of proteins, fats, minerals (such as calcium, copper, iron, phosphorus), and vitamins (such as B12 and B2, choline, niacin, pantothenic acid and riboflavin). . And it also has a very small amount of carbohydrates.
Dried fish meal enters animal feed as a source of protein. Animals need amino acids more than they need proteins themselves. Dried fish powder has a high level of essential amino acids such as lysine, methionine and cysteine with high content, digestibility and nutritional value for livestock, poultry and aquatic animals.
While in grain products, which are the food of most animals, the mentioned amino acids are less found. And plant proteins are not well digested, even when fully processed. Therefore, the percentage of their use in the diet is recommended due to the limited growth of animals.
In general, the digestibility value of this product is higher than 95%, while the digestibility value of plant proteins, depending on the type of plant, is between 77% and 96%.
Fish meal is divided into different degrees in terms of quality based on the amount of protein, fat, moisture, ash and free nitrogen. The higher the protein content and the lower the amount of fat, moisture, ash and free nitrogen, the more desirable the resulting powder.

Caviar
