Kaleh Ghochi

This nut is famous for being large. It is sensitive to shortage of water and its leaves are complex. This type of nut is vulnerable to cold weather in spring. It can be harvested in mid September. On the whole Kalleh Ghouchi is not being budded anymore and production is from existing trees. Although commercially quite successful, Kalleh Ghouchi trees showed a steep drop in growth and production as they grew older than 40 years old. It is expected that the production would slowly decline. Available sizes are 20/22, 22/24 and 24/26, with 18/20 being available in small quantities.

Description of Kale Ghochi:

This kind is broad with an opened mouth.

This type is bigger than the others. The name is derived from the shape is this type which look likes rams head. The unique taste of this pistachio is due to its high fat volume.

Specifications:

the normal sorted kalleh ghouchi pistachio, grade 20-22 pcs/oz has Max 5% moisture, Max 2% C/M, Max 2.5% semi-open.

Packing:

The regular packing is 50 kg Gunnies, and particular packing is 25 kg Gunnies. 10 and 12 kg cartons are also available based on the customer order.
